Rocksbox: June Edition

Happy Tuesday! So I have to admit I have been sitting on this post for a while. When my Rocksbox arrives I get excited and always try to show it to you quickly, however, I like to live in the pieces for a little bit before I review them for you all. This time I really wanted to focus on super delicate pieces. I really go low key in the summertime with jewelry.  So everything in this box are super easy pieces that you can wear every day. Let's go!

I was really excited about this one I love a little marquise and, hello rose gold! I love a little blingy piece for a necklace that isn't too much that I couldn't wear it to work. This definitely fits that bill. It is a little smaller in person than I realized. It's also a little shorter than I realized too. You can adjust it but it doesn't get that long. I'm not partial to short necklaces, just a personal preference. It would be good for layering, but I do that less in the summer. I would say this lays about at your collar bone. Good for an off the shoulder top or V-neck top.

These might be my favorite piece. I don't know what it is about arrows but I just love the silhouette. Just so cute and fun. These dainty little studs are perfect for everyday. I have worn these most days since I got them. I love them. Simple and chic and they go with everything, plus a little sparkle!

This I love too. I have wanted a circle ring for a while. I am also a big fan of negative space in jewelry so a circle is just perfect for that. This is super lightweight. So much so some times I forget I am wearing it. It's rose gold again because I can't get enough of it. I have worn this one to work a bit, but I think I would prefer to wear it out to dinner or on the weekend. The bling is a little fancy for work. The pave stones are kind of flashy and a bit much. I truly love this one and would be a great addition if you are looking for something similar.

There you have it! Do you have a favorite piece? Which one should I keep?

Chic Summer Beige

Annnnd I'm back! So it's been a little while since I got a post up an I apologize for being so quiet, but I got a great look for you today. It's the weekend and I am ready to relax!

A few weeks ago I went to an opening for a new shop nearby and took that as an opportunity to try out this new top I'd be eyeing. I super love this top. First, a peplum is always a flattering shape. Hits just where you would want to create that hourglass silhouette. I'm not quite as tan as I'd like to be, but later into the summer when I am (hopefully) golden tan this will look a lot better. I love the chicness of a beige color against my skin tone. The little black polka dots are just a fun little extra. I matched it with the high waisted white jeans. You need a high waist with this top as it is a little short. I suppose if you are more of a petite you wouldn't need it, but for those of us of average or above average height a high waist is a necessity. These are actually more of a jegging but I really love them. They fit like a jean but are stretchy like a legging. Also for a white jean they are relatively not see through. Sometimes I worry about that. I topped the look off with a simple slide. I wanted to keep the look simple, clean a chic. Maybe my favorite part of this item is this necklace. I admit it's expensive, but I love it so much I don't care. I am loving this coin necklace trend and this layered piece is perfect for summer!

Happy Friday! It's been a busy week around here. Last week of school, I am moving out of my office today and we are packing to move out of our house at the end of the month.  Woof, it's busy. I am ready for a chill weekend.

Made for Madewell

It's official. I am a walking Madewell billboard. I have been joking with my friend for a while about how much I love them and I just want to live there. You ever have a brand that just 'gets' you? Even when I am shopping online at, say, Nordstrom the majority of the items I find in my cart are Madewell. It just is a brand that feels like everything looks effortless, but chic at the same time. Many of the pieces can transfer from work to weekend and I'm all about that practicality.
