Happy Wednesday! Welcome back to work after a long weekend! I had a great time and more to come on that later this week. In the meantime, I thought it would be fun to get a little work wear inspo to get us through these long weeks in summer. I know I always feel better when I have a good outfit on and I will definitely be breaking out my favorite this week. Because who wants to be at work when you could be at the beach?

Happy freakin' friday everyone! This has been an absolute bear of a week and I am so ready for the long weekend. D and I are headed out of town to Milwaukee to visit our friend. I have been there one other time but it was just to see a baseball game. I have heard nothing but good things about the city. If you have any recommendations send 'em my way!

Happy Monday! Welcome back to another week and right before a holiday weekend. It is so close to summer we can taste it, right? This weekend was a bit of a mixed bag of weather and activities. This upcoming week is definitely going to be a busy one and we plan to head out of town to visit a friend over the holiday, so definitely lots to look forward to!

Happy Friday all! It has been a looooong week around here. I won't bore you with too many details. I am happy as a clam that it is Friday. I have a bunch of fun plans this weekend and I am ready for this week to be over!

I am going to keep this short because I am writing this pretty late. I was hoping to get my look for the Northern Vogue fashion show up but did not have time. I will get that up with some fun summery looks up next week!

The important and fun part of my week was seeing Lake Street Dive on Thursday.  I have seen them band probably a half a dozen times with my dad. My dad introduced me to the band and I love them. They have a few albums and although my favorite is their Bad Self Portraits album, I love all their stuff. A little jazzy, rock vibe they are fun every time.  We particularly wanted to see them because they performed at the Palace Theater in St. Paul. This used to be a movie theater and according to my dad was closed for about 30 years, which is totally crazy to me. They definitely renovated the place but it is made to look old and vintage, which is very appropriate for St. Paul.

For the concert, I wanted to dress for the warmer weather but not too dressy as this is a more casual venue and band. A graphic tee is a great option for any concert goer. Whether it is  a band tee or an expression of your thoughts it is a fun and music ready option. I am a big fan of Philomena + Ruth boutique. They are a real go-to for folk/festival wear. They give me serious summer and Coachella vibes. I like to dress the part for anything I am doing and this boutique is going to be the place to go. I saw this tee that says "Give me live music or give me death" is appropriate for my life. I love concert so much, I am willing to see almost anyone if the ticket is cheap. I am sure Patrick Henry would approve. I wanted to pair this with a summery look and this skirt from Target is so perfect. High waisted with a little tie flatters a tee shirt well without being overdressed.A casual boot and some simple jewelry are perfect for summer concert season.

I have a problem with buying too much makeup. I texted my make up guru the other day if there was something else I needed for an event over the weekend. She told me clearly  I didn't need anything else that I have enough makeup, which is true. I have been waiting for this one palette but it is kind of expensive so  I have been dragging my feet. I have desperately been in need of more browns in my eyeshadows. There was a time I had too many browns and forced myself to buy other colors. Now I find myself with not enough variety of browns. Problems, am I right?

Happy Monday all! I am going to try and get back into the swing of things this week. I needed the week off to try and settle some things down. I am going to be doing my best to stay on top of it, but honestly, this month is really insane workwise. Last week I got a lot done but there are a lot of things coming up that may take precedent. I hope you all can continue to be patient with me as I try to balance all things life.

Want me to catch you up with last week? I worked. And worked. And worked.

End of story.

Happy Friday folks! I am so pumped for this weekend. The weather has seemingly stabilized in the 60s and 70s pretty consistently and I am ready to enjoy it! I actually wore shorts this week and it felt great! I am ready for sun, boating and cocktails! Bring it on!

I had a busy week, of sorts, so let's get to it!

Shopbop Surprise Sale Under $100

If you are anything like me you get daily email blasts about sales at all your favorite retailers. Some I get almost weekly and never have to pay full price unless I am impatient, others are rarer. I have learned not to leap at some as quick as others for this very reason. Some, however, are worth jumping for. Shopbop is definitely retailer I peruse and drool over, however rarely purchase from. Their price point is often a bit out of my budget, but a gal can dream.  You can imagine that when I got the email that there was a 40% off sale going on I leaped on it!
