I hope you all had a great weekend! I had a wonderful one. The weather finally turned around and got beautiful! Sunny all weekend and cool enough for a cardigan but not cold. There was still a warmth in the air and you could feel the heat of the sun on your skin. Just perfect Fall weather we really could not have asked for more.

One of the biggest challenges of being a mom and a fashion blogger is a budget. Now, obviously, you don't have to be a mom for this to be a problem, however, since having my daughter our priorities have changed. Money has to be funneled towards her needs more than ours because it's what she needs to get by. I find myself buying her clothes all the time, not just because they are cute, but because she is growing. She needs diapers, food,  opportunities to learn, various creams the list goes on and on. Staying fashionable on a budget can be hard, especially while running a fashion blog ;)

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Ready for another one? This past weekend was a scorcher in Minneapolis. Temperatures in the 90s! I really couldn't believe it. This is July weather and we are usually well done with this by now. Checking the weather ahead, looks like it's on its way out by Tuesday which I am ok with. Lots of people in the cities took advantage of the heat for one final hurrah. I, on the other hand pretty much stayed indoors.

Stitch Fix: Back to School

It is officially time for that weekend! It has been the first full week of school around here, although the weather has been unseasonably warm. If you have been following me on Instagram you know it's been 80+ degrees all week and now it's looking like it won't let up until Tuesday! Cue major sigh....

I am in full on fall mode and done with summer. Let me be clear, I do not want winter but I really want those 60-degree temperatures so I can wear all my sweaters and jackets. I am super done with the major heat.  My office is freezing so I have to dress in so many layers to make it work. Anyway, at some point it will be cooler and I will want the heat.

So I recently got another Stitch Fix to prepare for Back to School and I wanted to share it with you!
Disclaimer: these photos were taken in a rush as I had to get these items back, please be kind!

Happy Monday! Hope you all had a great weekend! I was lucky enough to have a truly wonderful weekend. A great mix of being busy but also relaxing. Those are some of my favorite kinds of weekends! Friday we stayed in a rented a movie. Saturday we helped my sister move and had a bonfire with friends. Sunday I watched the Vikings season opener met a friend at a park so our kids could play. The weather was warm at times and brisk at others. Perfect weekend

Happy Friday everybody! I am ready for a weekend after the first week of school is over. Woof! It was a hectic week and a little relaxing is just what the doctor ordered. I don't have many plans this weekend so I will take my plans as they come. Sometimes it's nice to have nothing going on.

This week the weather took a noticeable turn. Fall chill is in the air, with cool mornings and warm evenings. I am not full on ready for jacket season but working in more fall colors and patterns I am ready. I am done with summer and made my full transition.

Falling for Backpacks

So backpacks and I are having a moment. They started to come back into style in the last couple of years and I wasn't sure how to make them work. It reminded me a little too much of the small backpack trend in the 90s. Retailers have since really upped their game and a backpack is on my wishlist. I really want one for work that is big enough for my laptop and lunch bag. One for trips out with Reese would be great too. I have a backpack diaper bag but now, frankly, it's too big. I don't need to carry so much stuff out and about with her. This has been on my mind a lot and thought you all could benefit from my research 😂
