Happy Monday! Hope you all had a great weekend! I was lucky enough to have a truly wonderful weekend. A great mix of being busy but also relaxing. Those are some of my favorite kinds of weekends! Friday we stayed in a rented a movie. Saturday we helped my sister move and had a bonfire with friends. Sunday I watched the Vikings season opener met a friend at a park so our kids could play. The weather was warm at times and brisk at others. Perfect weekend

With this time of year always comes the challenge of your wardrobe. Mornings are cold enough almost for a jacket and scarf, but the afternoons are warm enough for a tee shirt. Usually, I am all about layering but lately, my office has been an icebox. So I am in full sweater mode. Thankfully, the Twin Cities area is blessed with some awesome local boutiques to keep us in style. I also love that they get new arrivals almost every week so it's always new!

Recently, I was shopping at Apricot Lane and they had got some super adorable fall apparel. I am always a sucker for stripes and they had a couple of great options but this one caught my eye. This style is actually a bit cropped and I am wearing a medium because they didn't have a small. I think it still works though, just looks a bit oversized.  I really love these colors and that the stripes are all different widths. Just adds an extra interesting element. What really sold is is the mustard color, which is fast becoming my favorite color for fall. Mixed with the pink, which is not typically my favorite color, was a real surprise for how well they went together. Not mention it's just so cozy and V-necks are my absolute favorite.

With the sweater being more of a crop it was the perfect opportunity to pair with a high waisted jean. High waisted is basically all I wear these days and these Madewell ones are a hit! I love  Madewell jeans so much. The construction is top quality and when I put these on they fit like a glove! Nothing is better than a jean that wears like it was made for you. I had these mustard mules from Target in my closet already so I had to pair it to match the sweater. It was the chicest fall look for casual Friday at the office.
