Happy Monday! Hope you all had a good weekend and are ready for another week. It is officially 20 days until Christmas. I kind of can't believe that. I probably should have spent my weekend doing more holiday shopping than I did, but oh well. I did a few fun things I am excited to share AND a great dress for the holidays.

Friday night was the New Standards holiday show. I have been twice before and was really excited to go again. I went in the past with my dad, but this year we also got my younger sister to join in. It was the 10th anniversary of them doing the holiday show so we had big expectations. They did not disappoint. Their holiday show is always a range of them doing their hits, holiday songs and a wide range of guest artists. This year one of my favorites was Dessa. If you are a Hamilton the Musical fan, she has a track on the new mixtape. I have seen her several times and she is awesome. They also had St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman play the bag pipes, which was pretty kick butt. It was a great show and can't wait to go again next year.

Saturday during the day was a bit of a wash. I stayed up kind of late so I slept in. Apparently that didn't matter, I was tired all day. I spent the whole day, unproductive, in my bed. Good news is I had good company with my two pups. Mr. Riggs is the lump on the right and Eva is using him as a pillow.

Saturday night D and I went to dinner with my parents. We decided to try Brasa, which is a local southern-creole style place. I have heard good things about it but never been. It was a bit more hipster-like than I expected and the wait was a bit long. However, the food was pretty good. I ordered this chorizo-potato chilaquille bowl that very good and filling.I had to take half of it home. I would definitely recommend it.

Sunday was another pretty chill day, although I was able to get myself to the gym. Barely. I am officially 29 weeks and working out is getting harder. Afterward we ran a few errands and then home. I also won't lie, I definitely took a late night nap. #noshame.

P.S. don't forget the PinkBlush giveaway ends tonight!

To account for my overall lazy week I did get all dolled up for the show on Friday. I had been eyeing this dress at Target from their Who What Wear line for a while. I wasn't sure with the pregnancy it could work but when I saw in store that it was a true wrap dress I knew I could make it work. I planned to wear my blazer with this but last minute it ripped. Whoops. Thank goodness for this cape blazer. I kept the accessories simple with a nude heel and delicate jewelry. I paired it with my new purse (more details Wednesday) but spruced it up with this pink lip. I loved this dress. It fits right in with the velvet trend right now and just an easy dress for the holiday season.
