Happy Monday friends! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I will try to resist the urge to complain about the snow here. We are still digging ourselves out here in Minnesota in March. This is atypical, even for Minnesota. We are trying to keep warm by thinking ahead to, hopefully, warmer temperatures in our future. You'll notice I took these photos a couple of weeks ago because there is hardly any snow on the ground. Here's hoping it looks like this again soon!
I have to admit I have had a thing with big buttons lately. I love this trend so much. I think it makes a pretty basic top just so much more interesting looking Most tops that have used this button style are tried and true basic henleys and cardigans. I also just think it's fun so I am down for it at any opportunity. I also have been really loving Abercrombie + Fitch lately, I don't know what's happening. I haven't shopped there since high school but in the last couple of months, their casual style has been killin' it. I still feel too old to shop in store, but I can definitely shop online. I saw this top a while ago and resisted for a bit, but eventually, it went on a sale around MLK day and I snagged it. It's so cute and super comfy. The softness of a great henley but extra chic because of the cut. At this point, I am a high waisted or bust kind of denim wearer. I really have no interest in a mid-rise jean. This opens my wardrobe to many more crop tops that I can appropriately wear because they stop just where a high waist jean starts. I never thought I'd be able to wear to so many crop tops but I have a few now I love, including this one. This exact top is sold out but I linked two very similar ones. Super cozy and easy to dress down or add a few cute pieces of jewelry to dress it up a bit.
I decided to pair this top and denim with these shoes from Target. Looking ahead to warmer weather you can start to think about exposing more of your foot/ankle. I got these shoes last year and they were a fan favorite, but they are back in stock! Hallelujah. Just in time for Spring, they go with so many looks. I like them best with a skinny jean and more casual top. I feel a little hipster-like in this look and I don't hate it ;)
