Life has been so busy around here lately I completely forgot it is Spring Break season! Next year we have plans to go on a trip with friends, but this year I will just live vicariously through online shopping trips ;)
Last time we went to Mexico I way overpacked. It's part neuroses part strategy of mine. When I go again I will try to pack less. Honestly, you spend all day in your swimsuit anyway. You do need a few fun little tops and shorts for dinner and any other excursions.
I scoured some of my favorite places to put together a little lookbook for your vacation. I love bathing suits from J. Crew, Topshop and Triangl. Some of the cutest suits out there. Gotta love a little floral print. I know that is alway the trend for Spring, but why mess with a bad thing? One pieces also are continuing to come up in trends. As a new mom a one piece sounds like a great idea! I like to look for ones with interesting cuts and silhouettes that will ensure the curves are highlighted not covered up. I like the sheer fabric on the suit from TopShop and the bright color of the one from J. Crew. Next up is a few tops and a great pair of shorts. Seriously, you cannot go wrong with J. Crew Factory here. Last time I went to Mexico probably 90% of the clothes I brought were from there. You want to dress light because even at night it's hot and sticky. I love these little draw string shorts, the scallop cut of the tank and the bright floral print. Off the shoulder is still very much trending so this ruffled top is perfect here. Let's talk shoes. Sandals are your best friend. I like to have a neutral color so that it goes with basically everything, as well as these fun colorful and pom inspired ones. These were in style last season and I am happy to see they are sticking around. Target's shoe options are great here and totally affordable. Lastly, accessories. You only need maybe one of each of these. A hat is key for both sun protection and style points ;) I love a fedora and this one looks like it would breathe the best. I am kind of obsessed with these sunglasses to. I love the tortoise pattern and the blue glasses. Just a fun mix!
