Happy Monday y'all! I had a super busy weekend and the weather was epic! Since I spent most of the weekend enjoying it I am going to keep this short and sweet!

Friday night our original plans fell through and we ended up having my parents and younger sister over for dinner. It was a gorgeous day in the 70s so we were hoping to have our first bonfire, however out of nowhere the wind picked up and we couldn't do it. Either way, it was nice to have the family over for no reason and just hang out. Saturday was  going to be a busy day so we needed a chill night.

Saturday was the big day. My younger sister is getting married in two weeks and we celebrated her bachelorette party and her fiance was having his bachelor party at the same time. It was kind of an all day affair. D's parents watched Reese overnight because we figured that might be the best option that night. It was a good choice and we had so much fun! That afternoon we did one of those wine/painting parties. We got to paint two wine glasses and drink at the same time! #winning I am not a great artist so I tried my best. I figured dots were the safest option for me. I won't lie, half way through it I got tired of making dots so.....it doesn't look as great as I hoped. Oh well!

Later that night we met up in Northeast Minneapolis for dinner and drinks! We started out at Psycho Suzi's and sat on the patio because it was a gorgeous night! Afterwards we went to it's sister bar Betty Danger's for some drinks before closing it up at one final bar. It was a great night celebrating my sister and getting ready for her big day!

Sunday as one might expect was a little rough, ha. It was not all that bad but I was mostly tired. We went to pick up Reese and had lunch with D's mom. When we came home I had to some work to do so I spent the remainder of the evening doing that. Overall it was a pretty fantastic weekend.

On Friday when the weather was so nice I got to breakout my new hi-lo dress from Thirtyone Urban. I love a hi-lo cut, it just creates an interesting silhouette from your traditional maxi or midi dress. Navy is basically my favorite neutral for summer. Black, as much as I love it, can be a little drastic for this time of year. The open back was the major selling point for me. You can add a denim jacket for the office and then take it off for happy hour. I really loved how comfortable and versatile this dress was. I wore it with my peep toe booties, but you could also wear wedges or strappy sandals. I have a feeling this dress will be on major repeat.
