Happy Monday and the first week of May! I am so ready for May. This April shower weather is no bueno and I am sick of it. It is time for Spring  am I right? I had a pretty busy weekend but unfortunately did not take too many pictures. I did, however, whip out some Spring-like attire to share this Monday :)

On Friday we went over to our friend's house for a little baby hangout night. Our friend's son is four days younger than Reese and our other friends have a seven month old. It was the first time we got them all together. It was a fun night seeing everyone with all their kids and comparing notes and catching up with each other. It is really nice to have some friends with kids the same age. For one thing, when your kid is crying and screaming they don't mind ;) I can't wait until they are all crawling around and playing together. We did get a picture with us all and it was so fun!

Saturday was an equally busy day. Reese was pretty fussy that morning and it kind of delayed me. We had tickets to a beer fest at Running Aces. My dad found out about it and D and I went with him. They had about 26 local breweries and each one had about 3-4 beers to sample. A few breweries we have been to before so we tried to hit up the new places. We definitely discovered a couple new beers and one pretty close to home! We have done a few tastings before and always had a good time. This was no different.

Afterwards we went back to my parents to have a little pizza before we headed home. Downside of day drinking is you get tired early and we hit the hay embarrassingly early that night.

Sunday we had planned to brew with some friends but we were all too tired to. It was a rainy and cold day that called for PJs and movies instead of brewing. I also don't think we took Reese out of her PJs all day too. We did a little tummy time which she took to mean lay basically still for 5 minutes. We watched a few movies and ate bad food. Perfect Sunday.

So Saturday although cold was probably the warmest day of the weekend. I had been desperate to whip out this skirt and it was just warm enough to do it. I love a midi skirt. Part of me thinks I'm too old for a mini skirt and, frankly, my lifestyle does not support a mini skirt anymore. Midis are basically my jam. This striped one from To bi is fun because A) stripes, hello... and B) the slit up the side is just enough to add a little sex appeal without going over the top. It is light weight material so perfect for the (soon) Summer days when the temperature is blazing hot. For the beer fest I paired it with this Sincerely Jules tee. I get compliments on this shirt every time I wear it. Every. Time. I also just bought these peep toe booties at DSW and thought it was the perfect shoe for a cool Spring day. Enough exposure for Spring but still keeping  my toes warm. Add a little leather jacket, (cause why not?) and a small crossbody and you are ready to go!
