Happy Monday! I hope you all had a great weekend! Mine was very busy but relaxing also. The weather around here has taken a definite turn to summer. It was in the high 80s and super sunny all weekend long. I got to spend some time out in it and it was glorious! Let's get to it.

On Friday D and I got to go out for our first official date night since Reese was born. It was a little later than I originally wanted but life gets busy. We went back to a local favorite Butcher & The Boar. We went there one other time over a year ago and have been dreaming of it ever since. We got at table on their back patio, which was fantastic. It was warm out, but we were in the shade and got to enjoy a little of the heat. The food was fantastic and I basically ate my weight. Afterwards, we went to another bar for a night cap before heading home. It was great to spend some quality time together again.

Saturday was kind of busy. We got up that morning and D did some yard work. Afterwards, we went to his cousin's grad party up north. They live on a bit of a hobby farm and breed Labradors. They always have puppies around and they are too cute to function. In the last couple of years, they have made that their primary business and built some really nice structures for it. They specifically have these red Labradors that are absolutely gorgeous. Later that night we had intended to go to a friend's bday party. However, we got going too late and I thought it would be too hard to take her over there that late. Instead, we went to a friend's to watch The Godfather, which she had never seen and we made her watch. A bit to my surprise, and delight, she did like it! Which means we will be back for part 2!

Sunday was a lazy day, well for me anyway. D did a lot more yard work while I stayed inside to do some work and watch Reese. We eventually stepped out to go grocery shopping and drop some stuff off at the local yard waste center (aren't you jealous of my life yet?) before heading home for dinner and to watch Logan, which is fantastic btw.

That's my weekend in a nutshell. With the warm weather fully upon us I needed a look that matched the warmth and brightness of summertime. Enter Gap.  I was coveting this jumpsuit for a while before I got a 40% coupon to purchase it. I am not usually an orange person (see: my blog name) but for some reason, I really loved this color. It also helps that the fabric is incredibly light so it is perfect for hot summer days. I have noticed a trend about myself that I love this fit. It is just a flattering shape for me as it basically masks all my areas I'd rather not flaunt while making the other areas look fantastic. If you prefer to cover up your midsection and light area, this is the look for you. I will say if you are tall like me, maybe size up. I have a long torso so it feels a little short in that area, but I'll make due. The orange is so vibrant so I paired it with a neutral heel and delicate gold necklace. This color is really the stand out here so no need to go crazy with accessories. I loved this and got compliments all day, so I will probably wear it about 100 more times ;)
