Happy Monday! It finally feels like fall around here. The temperatures dropped over the weekend finally and I am totally ready for it. Last week was busy and the weekend was no different. All fun things of course, but busy nonetheless.

On Friday after work, we went out for dinner for D and my sister's birthday. Their birthdays are a few days apart so we just do them all at once. We went to Louis' above Cossetta's in St.Paul. If you are from the area you know that Cossetta's is an institution and a few years ago did a major renovation and added this nicer restaurant on top with a roof deck. We went there on my birthday but didn't go out to the deck because, well, that was January. My nonna and great-aunt joined us as well, which was fun because I had not seen them in a bit. It's classic Italian food so it is hard to go wrong. We sat on the patio for a drink with my parents before heading home.

Saturday was a super busy day. An old friend of ours was getting married in Duluth and we were heading up with some friends to celebrate.  The wedding was later and we were hoping to stop some where first but we just ran out of time. That's ok though. The wedding was outside on a patio and they had hors d'oeuvre all night, drinks and dancing. It was beautiful to see them get married and for their children to be part of the blessing as well.

They also had one of those instant little polaroid cameras and we may have had too much fun :)

Sunday we got up and had breakfast before heading home. An absolutely gorgeous day in Duluth I wish we would have had time to enjoy it. There is no place better than Duluth in the Fall. The colors are breathtaking and there is so much to do. I am hoping to get up there again this fall to enjoy it, but we have lots of other fun things planned so stay tuned!

I knew I needed a dress for the wedding a while back and relied on one of my local favs Proper+ Prim for the perfect look. I saw this dress and knew I had to have it. I really love wearing this golden mustard color in the fall. It complements some of the darker burgundy tones I love so much this season. It also has one of my other favorite trends: embroidery. Combined with this lace texture and the cutouts on the side, I thought it was perfect for an early fall wedding. Had it been cooler I would have layered a trench coat, but it was warm enough without. Being that the dress had so many great details I wanted to keep the accessories simple with some studs and delicate bracelets for just a little s sparkle.

What do you think? Leave me a comment below I would love to hear from you!
