Fall Dressing / My Monochromatic Life

Happy Wednesday folks! Hope your week is going well. Around here the weather has suddenly spike pretty warm. In the 80s! I can't believe it, we are typically at least low 70s and 60s this time of year. It is pretty atypical and as much as I want to complain because I am so ready for the cooler fall temps. I thought I would take advantage of the warm day and wear another great transition dress. If you follow me you have heard me talk about PinkBlush before. I discovered them when I was pregnant and absolutely loved their pieces. Super cute, super affordable, super comfortable. I was even happier to learn that they just have a selection of non-maternity items as well with the same comfort and style in mind. (see my other posts, here, here, and here).

I recently snagged this dress and I love it cause A) it's black and white, so duh B) it has a great shirt dress silhouette without the judgemental cinched waist and C) is super light and comfortable for warmer days. I tried it on and was "done!" This dress was basically made for me. Sometimes I have a harder time with a straight silhouette because my hips/backside are bigger than my top, but this was wide enough at the bottom to have a great flow but narrow enough at the time so it was not too boxy. I did want to add a little edge so I threw on this leather vest I got a year ago at the Nordstrom anniversary sale. I have only worn it a couple of times but I love it so! I grabbed my edgiest jewelry to match the silver tones of the jacket. I completed the look with these oldie but goodie boots from Tahari. I almost wore my Lucky Brand booties but decided this needed a harder edge that this shoe provides. In this I, am ready for happy hour, dinner or sitting around, cause why not?
