This week has been crazy busy with a bit of boring and fun mixed in. So I thought this Friday in true H54F fashion I would do my five favorites of the week.
1. FAV SONG
Ok so this is an old song but "Don't be Jealous" by Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds. I saw them last summer with my dad at the Turf Club and they were fantastic. The lead singer has an amazing voice and definitely one of those people who can sing the phone book. The lead singer and her brother or brothers are in the band. Fun fact: she recently had a baby. Check them out, you won't regret it.
2. FAV NEW BRAND
Target is out with the old and in with the new. They are getting rid of some old brands and bringing in some new ones. I am really pumped about this. Some of their old brands are just a little tired and these new ones are bringing some really interesting looks at affordable prices. They started with A New Day. I sported one of their shirts for fashion week events on Sunday posted here and I recently grabbed a pair of their skinny pants for $24! Good quality too. Cannot go wrong here.
3. FAV FASHION WEEK
On Thursday my friend and I went to Fashionopolis as part of Minnesota Fashion Week. This is probably the biggest fashion week production they have. It is hosted at this Aria venue in Minneapolis and sponsored by Mpls./St Paul Magazine. Features multiple local designers and is a big production. I have so wanted to go before and have not been able to, we got to this time. I really loved it. It was a substantial show with tons of look and featured some dancer and Rupaul Drag Race's season 1 winner, which was just awesome. We also got two free drink tickets, a free tee shirt, AND dessert. #winning. I also whipped out an oldie but a goodie LBD from pre-pregnancy and I think I made it work.
4. FAV GUY
Thursday was D's birthday. He really doesn't like his birthday and every year I make it my business to make a big deal. We went to dinner on Wednesday at our favorite burger place Red Cow because if you sign up for their emails you get a free burger on your birthday. We really love that place and it was apparently 'bring your kid Wednesday' as , like, four other table had their kid too. D had a good burger and a good time.
5. FAV PIECES
One of my favorite boutiques, Alice & Wonder, released some new items this week. I really need this jacket, burgundy is everything. Kate Spade is also having one of her 75% off sales and I totally need this backpack, right?
