Happy Friday! Hallelujah, it's the weekend! This was a bit of a long week, probably because I have lots of fun plans this weekend so I could not be happier we are there!

This week the weather finally got comfortable around here. June was all 90s with insane humidity and it was basically miserable. Even though it was warm some days this week the humidity was all but extinct. I even opened the windows and let the fresh air in a couple of times! It was glorious.

In honor of the gorgeous weather change, I wanted to share this dress I actually got for my mother's day present. I wore it a couple of weeks ago to a show at Orchestra Hall. It's one of my favorite brands, Lush. I honestly do not seek them out on purpose but I find myself attracted to the brand 9 out of 10 times when I am shopping on Nordstrom. I love an easy summer dress. Something that is dressy enough for a night out paired with heels and fun jewelry, but casual enough that could be worn to work. I had my eye on this dress for a long time (it was on my wishlist) and D follows that list to a T, smart man ;)

What I really love about this is the length. I am a bit taller (about 5'8") so a midi length is perfect for me. It also makes it perfect for work. The tie front is such a cute little detail and settles in at the narrow part of your body. Coupled with the slight A-line of the skirt it creates a super flattering silhouette. Plus, stripes? Yes, please. For the concert, I paired this with an old pair of Chinese Laundry heels, simple and chic.  I kept the jewelry relatively simple as well, even the fringe earrings are the same color so it blends well from head to toe. The one pop of color is this gorgeous Rebecca Minkoff bag (on sale btw!) The actual dress is sold out but I linked a few similar ones with silhouettes and colors. I can imagine this dress too with some cute sandals and a jean jacket for a more casual look. Super versatile!
