Happy Monday! Well I had a very relaxing weekend mixed in with kind of a stressful Sunday. I hope you all had a great weekend. Can you believe we are part way through the summer already? It is kind of upsetting. We are trying to soak in all the warm weather we can around here.

This weekend we headed up north to the cabin. At first, we weren't sure if the weather was going to be good, but about Thursday it looked ok so we made our way. We didn't get out as early as we wanted to on Friday. I had too much work to do. It takes almost four hours to get there so by the time we got rolling and had to make a couple of stops to feed Reese, it wasn't until 9:30 when we rolled in. The mosquitos were terrible! I guess they got a lot of rain that week and they were out in full force. We legit probably killed 25 over the course of the couple of hours we were up before heading to bed. We kept thinking there was a hole somewhere,  I have never seen it so bad. Good news is after that it was not that bad again. We stayed up enjoying a few adult beverages longer than I had intended, but with a busy week it was much deserved.

Saturday we got up a little late but got moving to the lake. The big chain of lakes up there starts at Crane Lake and works through Namakan. We were just up there with D's parents so we tried to make it out to one of our favorite spots, Kettle Falls. I have talked about it before. It's an old hotel, that you can still stay at, has a little restaurant and a funky bar. The ride out there was rough, Namakan is a huge and rocky lake, but we made it. It was Reese's first time out there so we snapped a few photos.

After we took our time making the way back. Stopped at another favorite spot on a little beach and enjoyed the sunshine that finally showed up. Reese did so good on the boat even with all the waves. She's a trooper for sure!

That night we headed back to the cabin. I took a nap because I was exhausted. We ended up watching a movie and falling asleep.

Sunday morning we got up, had breakfast and headed out. Traffic was absolutely terrible. Through this one major stretch of highway it was a 38 minute delay. D's parents, who live about 45 minutes north of us, left after us and beat us home. We gave them a heads up about the traffic and they went around it. We had to stop a bunch of times, Reese was screaming because she wanted attention. I had to climb in the back with the two dogs and Reese to keep her calm for about 2 hours. Ugh! I was so happy to be home. Plus it was the premier of Game of Thrones!!  It was so good! Who else is obsessed with this show?

Another summer weekend in the books. In the last couple of years, Minnesota based products have been on the rise. What was once a rogue MN tank here and there is not a variety of Minnesota pride products as far as the eye can see. I have a couple myself but am always looking for another unique take on my favorite state. I really like wearing these for the cabin, just seems like it goes hand in hand. I compiled a few of new items I have my eye on. Particularly this tank from Northern Print Co, which I just discovered the other day from a fellow blogger. So unique!

What do you think? I definitely need one (or all) of these for my closet!
