Workwear is always something that is evolving for me. I like, in general, to keep my work wear and leisure wear separate. Dressing the part helps me focus at work and get in the right mindset. That said, I don't have a never-ending budget. Budget-friendly styles are important and can be mixed and matched with old favorites.

This look is a real combination of the two. Target's new Prologue line has some really beautiful pieces for the office. This pullover is my new favorite thing to wear to work. It's the absolute perfect layering piece. I love the elastic waist on this. The top is slightly dolman sleeved so the tighter waist helps to create a flattering silhouette and highlights the shirt underneath. A button-up is the classic layering piece under a sweater or back in the day a vest. You get to experiment with fun patterns and colors that just gently pop out under a sweater. This piece is a fun twist on it. It also has a bit of a casual feel with the fabric. Many pieces in the line have that feel of dressy athleisure. You could wear this alone if you want. The high neck is good for this as well. I paired it with some old favorites. These black pants from Express are my go-to pair. I wear them all the time and are worth an investment. These shoes are also an old favorite. I have never found a similar pair but I did my best to link some cute ones. I wear these constantly. The fabric is more like a tennis shoe so it mimics the athleisure wear of this top. The white sole of the shoe though I think looks super chic. They were more expensive but a shoe is a great investment. They get beat up so easily so spending money on a good pair ensures longevity. Worth the money!
