Happy Monday! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend and adjusted to the time change. I have to admit, Daylight Savings really threw Reese and I for a loop. She has a fairly rigid schedule, that she has established mind you, and when it gets off it's never good. She woke up a little late so I tried to accommodate the schedule by slightly moving things around. No dice. It was a rough day. Anyone else struggle with the time change?

Anyway, the weather keeps getting colder and colder :( I realized the other day that I don't really have any dresses I can wear to work for cold weather. I thought I had some but apparently not. I was on a mission to fix this when I went to Apricot Lane a couple of weeks ago. I knew I could count on them to deliver. First of all, mustard is officially my favorite color of the season, hands down. I am so into it right now and I think it looks great on everything and everyone. So when I saw this dress it got immediate brownie points for me. Secondly, I am a major fan of a midi length. I am on the taller side (5' 8") so these really work for me. If you are a bit shorter than this probably wouldn't work, but most average to taller gals can pull this off.  Midi is great because it is an appropriate length for work but also because you don't have to wear tights. Only a small amount of skin shows and an ankle boot works perfectly. Lastly, the tie around the waist is so flattering. These bodycon dresses may look good on some ladies, and bless them, but I like candy and carbs and it is what it is. I need some forgiveness in my dresses and this knot does just that.

I kept the rest pretty simple with my go-to necklace of the moment. The horseshoe Kate Spade necklace is just a perfect little piece, and it has the approval of my niece so I am good to keep wearing it ;) I also paired it with these nude booties so as not to take away from this dress. A tall bootie I think its necessary here to keep the long, clean lines of the dress and make you look even taller.
