The holiday season is officially here! Now that we are through the major sale weekend and only bought for others right? ;) It's time to start thinking about all those holiday parties! There are lots of items to choose from so I thought I would narrow down some options for you.
JUMPSUITS
One of my favorite things in the whole wide world is jumpsuits. I honestly think they are flattering on everyone. They come in so many shapes they can work for any body type. I tend to prefer a wide leg style myself like this Leith glittery jumpsuit. For my petite ladies, I would recommend something tighter at the ankle and more cropped to create a longer silhouette.
DRESSES
"Florals for Spring? Groundbreaking..." That's how I feel in talking about dresses for the holiday. Like, duh. However, there are some fun trends this year like velvet or a funky leopard print. I threw in a great holiday red, I have a similar dress to this that is the best! This is also a great opportunity for a glitter moment.
SKIRTS + TOPS
The last couple of years for Christmas I have opted for a sweater and skirt combo. It's generally more flattering on my body and I like that I can mix and match. Gotta have options ;) I really like the idea of a longer and dressy skirt with a more simplistic top. It would also be fun to turn that around with a shimmery top and a clean skirt.
JEWELRY
The holiday season is one of the few times a year I go all out with statement jewelry. You can let your glam flag fly this time of year. A big ol' necklace or some shiny earrings really add that extra holiday spirit. The decorations glimmer this time of year, why can't you?
SHOES
The right pair of shoes really pulls a whole look together. I generally opt for a black option or a nude option. I like to go a little crazy with glitz on the rest of the look that I typically keep the shoe clean and simple. This shimmer bootie would be a great way to achieve that. That being said a there is always a place for a class heel.
What are some of your favorite pieces?
