Happy Valentine's Day! Whether this holiday is a big, glam celebration for you, a casual dinner at home or nothing at all there is definitely a little love in the air.
As part of our Galentine's event we took the opportunity to dress up a little bit too. If I were going to dinner this year this is 100% what I would be wearing. I actually found this red top at my local Hyvee in their F & F section on sale for $6! Serious score. I couldn't link it up but I found a couple other options. What I love about this shirt is the high low cut so if you wanted to dress it down with some jeans you could do that as well. This blouse has a little texture to it that I love! Any opportunity to provide a little extra something to a simple short sleeve blouse I love. This red too is so perfect for Valentine's Day. It's such a vibrant red it just makes you feel happy. I am not even someone who loves a red that much, ( I worked at Target in high school and it basically ruined it for me). This one I loved though and can see myself wearing it over and over.
I paired it with this pleated skirt I got from Everlane last year. A midi skirt is the best option for this time of year, its a little cold for a mini skirt without tights. I also think there is something more glamorous about a pleated skirt. I am not much fo a twirling type of girl, but this skirt brought it out of me. Looks cute, right? Most of this outfit was older including this necklace I legit forgot I had. A little sparkle and statement never hurt to dress up a look. The newest piece of this whole ensemble are these shoes. I am full on into loving leopard mode and these shoes are the newest piece to my obsession. First, they are Sam Edelman who I always love. The man knows his way around a shoe, and these are no different. The pointed toe and strap are a classic silhouette. I love that the leopard is only on the toe with a simple black on the heel. I really just want to wander around in these shoes forever. Sound good?
