Happy Monday! Hope you all had a great weekend, it finally warmed up around here. Given how cold it was last week this weekend basically felt like Spring. You could tell how couped up everyone felt because everyone was out and about this weekend the roads were packed! I am ready for a semi-normal week ahead and some fun V-day related blog posts!

When I asked all of you, most people said they wanted more of a casual Valentine's look. Honestly, we typically don't do anything for Valentine's Day. We're not really into it. At most we'll buy each other a card, sometimes D will buy me candy hearts (my fav!) So a casual look felt the most appropriate to me because it's more commonly what I would do. But don't worry, I have a couple other fabulous looks comin' your way too in the next week.

That being said, I was planning some posts and had a whole other idea for today until I found this shirt at Target on Super Bowl Sunday. It caught my eye right away, I love a baseball tee. It's equal parts super casual and also flattering. Something about the shape of the sleeve creates a great proportion.  The line of the color goes away from the body make the shoulders broader and thereby creating a slimming effect. I liked the red sleeve for Valentine's Day so you are still on brand (lol) for the holiday without being too on the nose. This shirt will also just translate really well into Spring and Summer and I love nothing more than when a piece can be worn multiple ways in multiple seasons. I also liked that this was a little cropped so it's perfect for a high waisted moment, which I am living for these days. I did size up to a large in this top. The Wild Fable line tends to be more junior sizing and I wanted it to fit a little looser (for reference I typically buy a small). I finished the look with these high waisted straight leg jeans. I have been wearing these a lot again lately. I am really into them and with the weather warming up I am constantly finding new, fun ways to wear them. Topped it off with these Superga sneakers. I got these years ago in a Stitch Fix and I am always surprised how often I have found ways to wear them. It's fun to be a little matchy-matchy for V-Day and keeps it super casual. If you are just hanging around making dinner at home, or just grabbing lunch or going on a walk, this is the look for you.
