Happy Monday everyone! I had another busy weekend again here, but I am going to keep it short. I will explain why soon.  I hope you all had a great week and are looking forward to a short week for the holiday. I also have a few fun things coming to the blog soon too so stay tuned!

Well the weather took a huge turn on Friday. We went from 50s and 60s to 20s and 30s, not to mention snow. Friday afternoon it snowed but it was raining earlier so it was icy and slush. It was super windy and gross. I left work a bit early and went home to work out. D had his band concert that night so we braved the weather. It was a shorter concert but fun.

Saturday was a super busy day. That night was one of my closest friend's bachelorette party. I was helping plan it so it was a busy day. I did some last minute cleaning and shopping for it. I did not sit still all day. That night we started at my house for apps, drinks  and gifts. We transitioned to Bar La Grassa for dinner.  It is an Italian restaurant with a fun vibe. We rented the wine room so we had a big room for ourselves. We ate and socialized. After dinner I had to run to the car to pay the meter. On the way back I tripped on my shoe, stumbled and eventually fell square on my face. I thought I could recover and it became apparent quickly I couldn't. I was able to get my hands out, but I still hit my face. Thankfully a friend came with me and her calm kept me calm. My knees and hands were all scratched up and my chin. I ended up calling my doctor too to make sure the baby was ok and I should be in the clear. Downside? I am pretty sure I sprained my left hand and wrist badly. It hurst to type, hence the short post. After we hit up a couple of more bars before closing out at a place with a DJ. We got to the bride to be to dance, so it was a definite win!

Sunday D and I went to the Vikings game. For his birthday I pooled my money with his parents and my parents got a pair of tickets. D was so excited, like a kid on Christmas morning. US Bank Stadium is in its inaugural season  and rumor had it it was gorgeous. Rumors were true. I was incredibly impressed. The stadium was huge and fan friendly. Open concourses, plenty of amenities and not a bad seat in the house. We were also in desperate need of a win, we lost 4 in a row after winning 5 in a row. It was a heck of a game and happy to saw WE WON!!!  Totally worth braving the cold for and D was so happy.

Overall it was a very busy weekend and as fun as it was, I am ready for a more relaxed weekend next weekend.

In the mean time I received my Sephora VIB haul with the help of Candice, She's Leaning In, picked up a few items.

The Laura Mercier powder and Drybar Triple Sec 3-in-1 I already had. I was out of these two products and wanted to take advantage of the sale. Laura Mercier I got last Christmas and it is the perfect foundation powder. I put a little liquid tinted primer on first but then layer this over the top and it's perfection. It goes on light and stays all day. The Drybar Triple Sec is my new favorite texturizer. It adds just enough texture without adding too much weight to my hair. It also smells fresh and amazing. I am obsessed with hair products that have a fresh smell. I highly recommend this as your next texturizer.

Next up were some make up products. I was in the market for a new liner and mascara I am constantly on the hunt for the best mascara and this Too Faced Better Than Sex came highly recommended. I do not have full lashes so I need something to add some volume. This definitely did the trick. The brush adds some fullness and I only need maybe two coats to get the desired effect. What else, this is kind of odd, the casing feels expensive. Most are just light plastic, this feels like a metal. Maybe it's just me but adds some luxury to it. Maybe I am an easy sell I don't know. The Marc Jacobs Gel liner was also worth a try. Not sure I am super sold on it. I am into having a bit more of a smudged liner look, maybe that's what it is. I also wish I would have bought a lighter color. The brown is a bit too dark and sparkly, but I think a lighter more matte color would be right up my alley.

Last but not least the creme de la creme. Probably because it is a cream ;) The Brazilian Bum Bum Cream. This is one of those lotions with a thick consistency. Unlike others though it spreads like a light body lotion. You don't need much I also learned to get the desired effect. It is definitely moisturizing without adding too much grease. I actually used it on my face the other day when I ran out of moisturizer. I was walking around for 30 minutes trying to figure out the smell before I realized what it was. It smells like a summer suntan lotion almost, but more of a perfume flavor. Smells like a dream. I am obsessed.

Overall a succesful haul.
