Happy Monday and happy last week before Christmas. I am sensing not wanting to work much this week, thankfully it is a bit of a short week here. I am both ready and not ready for Christmas. I love this holiday so much so I want it to come but also I don't want it to be over. It's a true dilemma, ha! I did not take a ton of pictures this week so I thought I would do a quick round-up and then share my first of three outfit options for Christmas.

On Friday we did not have any plans, which was relaxing for a Friday. We also really needed to wrap gifts. We hadn't wrapped anything yet and boxes were piling up. After we put Reese to bed we put on The Family Stone and wrapped all of our gifts. It took us almost the whole movie but we got it done.

Saturday was another pretty chill day. We got up pretty early, cause baby, and was able to workout for the first time in about four days. It felt glorious to get a workout in. We also had a few short errands to run and we got those done. It was honestly so nice to do all this leisurely. Typically weekends are packed with plans and everything has to be done so regimented. That night we headed over to a friend's house for a little food, drinks and games. Just an easy night with some of our closest friends. Reese also did a great job up there. We put her down and she fell right asleep and slept the whole time without a peep. Such a champ.

Sunday was my niece's 3rd birthday. I can't believe she is already three, they say time flies and it's true. Cliche, but true. We opened gifts, ate cake and celebrated our little lady. She was so cute opening gifts. Super excited but waited patiently as her mother, my sister, ready the cards. One card with a kitty on it made her erupt with laughter. So incredibly adorable I can't take it sometimes. These next few weeks are filled with lots of celebration and her birthday kicks it off!

Ok so last week I did some gift guides (here and here) and this week I thought I would share a couple of options for Christmas outfits. This first one is a bit more casual and colorful. I recently got this sweater from Gap and I just love how cozy it is. Although it is slimming for the cable knit (also 50% off through today!) It's hard to tell in this photo but the knit has navy in it. I really love pairing navy with this kind of magenta/burgundy type color. Just adds a great pop of color and different from your typically from neutral on neutral palette. I do love that, but from time to time I like to mix it up. The skirt is also velvet, which is very on trend. This skirt is old but I linked a few others. Then I just added some simple boots that were more skinny to my ankle for a flattering and easy look. I kept the jewelry simple because this is a more casual look and I didn't want to overwhelm with the colors and knit. I find that simple is often best.
