NYE + #H54F / My Monochromatic Life

Happy last Friday of the year. The whole year. That is so strange to write, but it's true. This is a time of reflection and celebration. What the year brought us and what is in store for 2018. Maybe Monday I will do a more reflective post as it has been a transformative year both personally and professionally. If I was thinking more ahead I would have done that today but I just ran out of time.

Overall this week has been pretty uneventful post-Christmas. So instead of boring you with my work and weather stories let's cut to the quick, shall we? New Year's Eve is this weekend and we have got to be ready for it. Typically I attend a party with some of my closest friends, however, this year we will be going to a wedding. That is not going to stop me from sporting some sparkle though. I pulled together a few glam pieces for your NYE needs. I love a little dramatics on NYE, whether it be sparkles, lace, or minis. All of these items should be in stock so you can run out if you need to get something last minute. It is super freezing here so I like to think of staying covered in some capacity from long sleeves to OTK boots. I think it's pretty obvious that black is probably my go to. I also picked a few items that are fun but flattering to the figure. As a post-baby body I am especially sensitive to this, wanting to still be fashionable while dressing best for my new shape. I think my favorite is the asymmetrical Topshop dress. I love the hint of shimmer and the knot around the waist would be flattering for me. I would probably pair this with the super glam earrings from Express and OTK boots. I love those boots.
