Christmas LBD / My Monochromatic Life

Happy Wednesday! Christmas countdown is T-minus 5 days (4 if you are counting to Christmas Eve, which I do)! Whoo hoo! It's almost here. I hope you all have your shopping done. We did our finishing touches on Monday with just a few small items for the little miss. With the gift-buying behind us I can simply prepare for the fun part: accessorizing.

On Monday I showed you one option for a more casual but on-trend look for Christmas. Everyone is little different at their celebrations. I, shock of shocks, skew more towards a dressier look. I think it stems from childhood. We would attend church on Christmas Eve so we would get all dressed up. My mom always had us in some dress or nicer outfit for the occasion. Christmas Day was always the more casual option, typically something I was gifted the night before. But let's focus today more on the glam. This dress is another amazing find from PinkBlush. I have talked about them a million times before. In short, I discovered them when I was pregnant and loved their maternity selection. Now that I'm not I get to enjoy the other side as well. I am pretty obsessed with the tie sleeve trend. I already have a sweater like this but when I saw this dress I was totally in. A midi dress is really the perfect length for me because of my height. It hits at just the right spot on my knee and is typically pretty flattering to my shape. The fabric on this is also atypical, ore polyester than a stretchier option.This is actually wonderful so it does not cling in all the wrong places. It's hard to see but this is a V-neck which I find to be more flattering than a rounded neck. Just creates a sleeker shape. For a holiday look, I added this Mirina necklace I got a long time ago. It is a simple, yet glam dress that lends itself well to a bold statement piece. With this, you really need nothing else. Just a great pair of boots and it's off to celebrate!
