Happy New Year! I hope you all had a fantastic and safe new year. Today I am back to the grind. Work started up again yesterday but I was still at home doing it. Today I am back in the office, not sure I am ready for it but here goes nothing!

It was a busy weekend for me, but I think it would be easier to do the full NYE weekend in review on Friday with the link up. Just too much to discuss in a Wednesday post. In the meantime, I have brought to you a little fringe and all black look, because why not?

After all the holiday eating and drinking and general merriment, let's just say a more slimming look is in order. Now I love me a sweatshirt. I probably have an embarrassing amount actually. When I can find one that can be worn outside of a bonfire and the cabin, I am extra excited. I saw this one when perusing Philomena + Ruth's website a couple of weeks ago. It caught my eye initially because of the black (duh) and the fringe and metal detail. I am a big fan of an interesting fringe and the leather added this great edgy quality. Fringe can go a little 70s folk and that's not exactly my vibe. On the edgier side though? Yes, please! Especially in a sweatshirt so I can keep chic while working off those holiday sweets. I decided just to make it an all black look to keep everything slimming with my favorite black jeans from Express. These have a great stretch to them which is super comfortable. All while keeping that edge with a bit of distressing. I topped it off with these ankle booties and my go-to black hat. This is my favorite post-holiday, trying-to-go-back-to-normal kind of look.
