Happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. The weather around here was basically gorgeous the whole time and I took full advantage of it. We were out and about all weekend, mostly Saturday. I tried to take lots of pictures so this is going to be a picture heavy post, so get ready!

Friday we had planned to see the Avengers: Infinity War movie. We talked about it a couple of weeks ago and quickly realized we would have to buy tickets early. It was almost sold out so we got stuck seeing it in 3D, which I typically hate doing. We met our friends for a quick dinner before and then the movie in the comfy seats. I won't give anything away but I will say we LOVED it! Marvel hardly lets us down and this movie was no different. Get out there and see it soon, spoilers have already been all over the internet and it's worth it not being spoiled.
Saturday was the big day. I had planned to go to two shows for Fashion Week MN that day with my friend who goes to all of these events with me. The first was the Global Fashion & Local Fair, which we thought was a fashion show and some local pop-ups. What it was, was local pop-ups and a few models just wearing the clothes around. It took place at a fancy mall called The Galleria and had some drinks and treats. We were really hoping for more of a show but some of the items there were truly gorgeous. I ended up with some of these beautiful bracelets from Realia by Jen. After we hung outside just chatting for a bit because the sun was out and we were comfortable so why not? We also swung in at another Pop Up called The Collective and saw some gorgeous pieces of jewelry, home furnishings, and clothing. I really love supporting local business and there is such a rich community here.
My friend and I did a little outfit change and then hit up the Innovations MN show, which is all about eco-friendly fashion. I participated in this a couple of years ago and had a great time. I also knew a couple of ladies styling for it so I wanted to go and support. I loved seeing how the show evolved into a multifaceted show and somewhat educational experience about where your clothes come from. We had standing room tickets but great spots. We got to see the clothes walk all the way up and down the runway. Absolutely gorgeous show! We didn't hang out much past the show as we were both starving and needed food. We stuffed our faces at a local restaurant before heading home.
Sunday was a bit slower but the weather was even more gorgeous. I wanted to get our with Reese in it so I met up with my sister and niece and we played at a local park for a little while. We definitely were not the only ones with this idea and the girls had a great time.
That's my weekend in a nutshell. I am looking forward to what hopefully will be a quick and productive week so I can have another great weekend!
For the Innovations Show on Saturday I knew I wanted to pull out all the stops. I bought this top from local boutique Primp and to their credit I ordered it Thursday and got it Saturday afternoon, praise be! It worked perfectly with this skirt. Everything else in my closet was old or more of a local boutique item, so hoping to stick in that eco-friendly vibe while also representing my monochromatic nature. I did add the pop of red in the purse and my lips. I love that this is a crop top because I can easily pair with my higher waisted jeans, or in this case this skirt. At first, I was going to do just the top and skirt, but I wasn't sure how cold it was going to get that night so I threw over this bomber blazer because it went perfectly and I love to layer when I can. I think it adds so many fun dimensions and really changes the look. I felt very New York fashion in this look and black is truly my staple look. I do not shy away from black on black in my life. Nothing is chicer than that, even in springtime. Last minute I added these bracelets I bought at the previous show and they matched perfectly!
