Hope you all had a wonderful holiday with family, friends or chosen family! We had a great time seeing most of our families and friends in four consecutive days. Although we had a wonderful time I am exhausted today and am glad to have one more day off to relax and take care of a few things. Hope you got some time away from work to relax too.

I thought I would show you a few of my favorite pictures of our celebrations before I share my Christmas Eve outfit.

On Sunday we had my family over to celebrate. You realize as you get older what a huge undertaking that is. Cleaning the house and prepping the food took a long time. My husband did a lot of the work too but it was tiring. I think it turned out well.

Reese got some movies from my sister and when she saw Moana she said "MAUI!" It was hilarious.

On Christmas Eve we went to my Aunt's house to celebrate with my dad's side. She has stairs that lead up to her bedroom and Reese, as well as the other kids, kept running up and down. Treating it like the top of a castle.

It's the best picture I could get of her.

On Christmas morning Reese opened our gifts and from Santa.  She really loved her Elsa doll. She says 'Elsa' all the time.

On Christmas Day we spent the day with Derek's family. His brother-in-law puts up an ice rink every year as my nephews are very involved in their hockey program. It was fun to watch all the kids skate around.

After spending a day with her cousins she was pretty tired.

For Christmas Eve and as you may have seen in my Christmas Card, I wore this look almost exclusively from Target. I saw this skirt back in November and built our whole Christmas Card look around it. This color really struck me, so vibrant and luxe looking. The silk satin fabric is really lightweight and moves so beautifully. Christmas Eve has always been a more elegant affair for me. We always celebrated at night and it used to follow a dinner so that has just stuck with me. I paired it with the grey sweater with a bit of a balloon sleeve. I wanted to balance out the skirt with a different texture and something slightly more fitted. The skirt is the real star here and I wanted a simple top to match. I also found these gorgeous earrings at Target. I am telling you, their holiday pieces were on point. The colors matched the skirt perfectly and add that extra holiday bling. I completed the look with these shoes I bought for a wedding almost two years ago. The sheen of the skirt called for a metallic shoe and I really love these. My nonna complimented these and told me she used to wear pairs like that all the time. I consider that a huge compliment, my nonna is a real lady.
