I am always envious of those girls that can mix patterns like a champ. I have read the blogs about how to pattern mix and I get it, intellectually, then I go to put it in practice and it just doesn't look like those other girls.

When an outfit does it for me it's a real win. I have to admit when the side-striped pant (tuxedo print aside) became popular I was a bit of a skeptic. It has definitely grown on me though and I took the plunge with these legging style pants. I saw them when I walked in the Primp Holiday Fashion Show. I had to have them. I loved the plaid pattern because it is definitely a print but not too big. I am still overall a bit print shy. What really sold me was the stripe. The bold red stripe won me over, maybe it's the season that red is appealing to me. I knew I had a couple of red sweaters at home also this would work with the too many black tops I have as well. I'll only buy something if I know I can wear it with multiple items. These pants are also a bit high waisted so I love that I can tuck something into them to create a flattering silhouette. This red top I got from my Stitch Fix but there are so many similar sweaters, I linked a few for you! Very on trend right now and super cozy!
