Happy Monday! Hope you all had a great weekend! We had a fairly busy one prepping and throwing a Halloween party. Sunday was basically a day of clean up and rest. I am pretty tired so I am going to keep this short and sweet today.

I admit it took me a minute to get on the chenille trend. I didn't love it at first, I can't explain it. I thought maybe I just wasn't about the texture. In doing some searching I think it's all about the silhouette of the shirt. I found this black one at a local favorite boutique, Apricot Lane , and it's crop! Love it so much as I am almost exclusively wearing high waisted jeans these days. May they never go out of style. I also think chenille feels like a more winter material. It's very soft, cozy but has a sheen to it that reads more holiday. Less so with this black material but it still does. I dressed it down with these old favorite jeans from Gap. They were the first jeans I thought of when I tried on this top,  I knew it would create a great shape. The top hits at just the right spot I also traded out my block heel sandal for these sock booties. My husband got me these Steven Madden ones for our anniversary and I really love them. A perfect neutral color that will go with everything from jeans to dresses.
