It's pretty chilly here in Minnesota now, and we are deep into fall. Even looking towards, dare I say it, winter. #winteriscoming . I went out the other weekend for some birthdays and have a couple events this week too. I thought I would share with you my go-to look these days.

I can not tell you how much I think a blazer is oh so chic. I just love the structured look and there are so many wears to wear one. I wish I had a job where I could realistically wear one more often. I mean, I can wear one to work but I am the most dressed up person there by a million. When I can find one to wear out at night, it's even better. I got this blazer last year and wore it over a jumpsuit for my birthday. I wanted to incorporate this again a different way. For my birthday I simply draped it over my shoulders so as not to hide the jumpsuit. For this look, I wore it because of the fitted nature of the jeans and top. This draped blazer was the perfect combo. Not to mention it's velvet, so amazing. Underneath I paired this tank that I have been dying to get for a while. This tank has that nighty kind of look with the lacy detail and the silky texture. I really love that detail, it's a bit of a throwback to the early 2000s for me and I am here for it. It's a sultry piece that you can really highlight or make it peak through like I did here. These jeans are my new favorite jeans of all time. Madewell is the queen of jeans. Theirs are my absolute favorite and they fit like a glove. I was in need for some black jeans and these are perfect. The frayed edges and distressing add the perfect edge for this look. Plus, the high waist is my new favorite thing. I may never go back, I love the shape it creates. Helps to show off the hourglass shape even if you don't possess it. Completed it with these boots that I literally spent a week begging you guys to purchase (here, here and here) .  You are going to see more of these boots. I completed it by just layering a few delicate necklaces. I think I am kind of statement necklaces right now. I am all about layering delicate pieces, both necklaces and bracelets.
