Welcome to a true April. This weekend was slightly warmer but rainy and humid. April showers hopefully bring May flowers. Rainy weekends sometimes make it harder to dress. It's a bit humid, but not super warm or cold. We mostly spent the weekend around the house or celebrating my mom's birthday so I kept it pretty casual.

This top I got from H&M that I showed in my try on from last week. The dolman sleeve is so comfy and I am really into boxy silhouette these days. It's a little cropped, but definitely hangs over the waist if you are doing a high waisted pant. It also has that knitted type fabric almost like crochet, so it breathes really well. This is definitely the type of sweater you can wear into summer with some cute cutoffs and sandals. It's pretty simple, but that's the beauty. Simple but a chic silhouette.

I paired them with these slip ons from Dr. Scholl's.  I saw a few other bloggers in town posting about these and thought they were worth a try. I am here to tell you they are like walking on a cloud! I love this neutral color, but it comes in a whole host of other colors too. I always tend to trend towards a neutral to be more versatile but there is also a gorgeous metallic. These lighter wash high waisted jeans was the perfect match. The length is a little cropped so the ankle is shown, which just feels more spring/summer to me. I did dress this look up with some ceramic earrings from Target for my mom's birthday party. If you wanted to just go shopping or go to lunch and simple stud will do.
