Is everyone saled out yet? So much going on and as much as I love a good sale, a gal needs a break. Oddly enough basically everything I am wearing today is old, not new at all actually. So a stark contrast to all the things I have been posting this week already.

These pants I bought a few months ago, the shoes are at least a year old. The top is the newest piece and that's about a month old. This summer I have had to get creative with my looks. My new job has me bopping around in the car constantly. So the weather outside has been hot and sticky, some buildings are just sticky and some are cold. I have to dress for all occasions. When I saw this top from Loft I knew it would be perfect. It says it's a jacquard top, but it's not as stiff or scratchy as what you would expect. It's definitely softer and really comfortable. The short sleeve is good for the hot weather, but also it's a bit longer than your after short sleeve. This way I don't have to worry about carrying around a cardigan. It's also perfect fabric for the front tuck. Folds over beautifully. Is that a weird comment to make? Cause it's true. It's hard to see in the photo but it has a textured design so it's not just a plain ol' top. I really love this. The pants I bought months ago in an Old Navy haul. I thought for sure they'd be gone but they are still there! This color pant is a bit bold for me but I took a risk and I'm glad I did. I suppose you could wear these pants with the right flat, but I think the ankle cut lends itself better to a heel of some kind. Creates a longer, sleeker look. The side stripe is still pretty on-trend I think it's fun to bring a little fashion-forward to work. Topped it off with these old favorite wedges from Target. The only part of the look I couldn't find, but I found a really similar one on their website.
