I must apologize again not having my blog up yesterday. I had a busy weekend and ran out of up time. So to make up for it this is a combination round up OOTD post ::cue applause:: At least I hope you are applauding otherwise it's ::crickets::

On Saturday night I went out with my friend Jackie (of The Revolving Table) for a little girls night. Our husbands were out for boys night so we decided to match them. I decided to go a little dressed up/casual. I bought a new pair of shoes to wear with my new Valentine's dress and thought tonight would be perfect to debut them/break them in. Last thing I want to find out is my shoes give terrible blisters when I am all dressed up in a pretty dress. I loved my look because A) I am obsessed with this tee shirt and B) Any day you can wear a blazer is a good day.

We started out at Betty Danger's Country Club, which is a new bar in Northeast Minneapolis. I posted about this a couple of weeks ago. It was the place with the Ferris Wheel. I was not exactly sure what to expect. When you walk in you start out in the garden room. It is all pink and green and meant to look like you are outside. The hostess stand is in the library.  This room is a bit darker. Walls are covered in what looks like a more dark gold and green Victorian wall paper. There is a long bar in one area and more seating in another. Glass garage doors line the bar and garden room, presumably they open up in the summer. They open up to a cement patio where the ferris wheel is lit and ready for passengers this spring. The menus are books. At first I thought they were old books they found to stick the food menus inside, but not the case. They appear to be books they commissioned with manners and etiquette and background on Betty's family.

Jackie and I ordered a couple of drinks and two appetizers. We ordered  chips and salsa and mexi rolls. Both were spicy and delicious. We agreed we would love to come back in the summer to try a ride of the Ferris Wheel.

Then we were on the main event, a night at the Acme Comedy club. The headliner was Jackie Kashian. She was really hilarious and super fast talker. She  made a couple of jokes at some politicians expense and she won me over after that. I have not been to Acme comedy club in years and it was great to be back. If you are not from the area, it is a very well known club. A lot of time famous comedians, like Robin Williams, will come here to practice material. It is a $18 for a show and typically you get three comedians. One as the MC, one opener and the headliner. Not a bad deal.

Sunday we had some friends over for the Superbowl. We had quite the spread from pizza to wings to some spicy nacho dip. Our friends love food and thanks to that no one went hungry. Unfortunately I wanted the Seahawks to win and it did not pan out for me. As I write this it is Monday evening and I am back to being a Vikings fan despite  my better judgement. Although my favorite disappointment team, the Twins, should be starting their Spring training soon and I have whole other sports season to feel the sting of 100 losses. Le sigh.
