This was last weekend was crazy busy with a capital 'C'! All fun stuff but I was running around. This weekend was the Irish Fair in St. Paul. I try to go every year because it is a blast! This year I only had an  option to go on Friday because of a wedding I had on Saturday. Unfortunately most of my regular people were busy so I put out a desperate call for someone to go with me. Sure enough, one of my good old friends was willing. He also had never been before so it was fun to introduce this to him. If you have never been it is a huge fair that goes all weekend. They have food, drink, shops, bands and exhibitions. Every year they put on a great time. I love going and checking out new Irish goodies and catching  a few bands. We walked around for a bit, enjoyed a few adult beverages and settled in for The Wild Colonial Bhoys followed by The Young Dubliners. Both bands put on a great show! The Dubliners are actually from Ireland and were hard to understand so we had to listen really close :) Overall we had a great time it was  beautiful night to enjoy it!

On Saturday I attended the wedding of one of my cousins. I knew it would be beautiful as she has a meticulous personality. They got married at a gorgeous church in Stillwater and the reception was in Oakdale. She truly looked like a princess and I have never seen her happier. The other wonderful thing, besides the marriage of course, was getting to see all my family. This side of my family is huge and we are sprawled out all over the place. These days we pretty much only get the whole crew together for Christmas and weddings. It was so nice to catch up with everyone. So many great things are happening for my family members and it was good to see. We danced all night long, against my better judgement, and had a great time. It was a beautiful day.

Inside a local restaurant, gorgeous right?!

Sunday Derek and I finally had a day where we could get breakfast at our local diner, Fat Nat's. They have a couple of locations and one happens to be about 5 minutes from us. We don't go enough! It's a true diner style restaurant. Nothing fancy inside and only services breakfast and lunch. They serve amazing, greasy breakfast food and they do it fast. It's a turn and burn kind of place and I love them for it. I had an omelette with carnitas, beans and salsa and Derek had some kind of supremo omelette. It was just what the doctor ordered, yum! I spent the rest of they day studying for my license exam and biting my nails. Eek!

Now onto the important stuff: fashion. This is my second wedding this summer and I just could not justify buying another dress, I have a disgusting amount at this point. A couple of weeks ago I started looking through to see A)what still fit and B)what would be appropriate for an August wedding. I was reminded of this amazing Gap dress I bought a few years ago for a friend's wedding. I tried it on to make sure it still fit and it did, thank God. It was a little tight but I could zip it up so done and done. I paired it with some of my fav strappy nude heels, my new necklace from Primp,  and the best clutch ever from local boutique Primrose Park. It was the perfect dress for the day and easy to dance around it at night. It was a win, I hope this dress never goes out of style.
