Welcome to another Friday! I love Fridays. I have nothing but the weekend to look forward to and it.looks.good. So last week I had a embarrassingly delayed Birchbox review. Well....I have another super delayed post. (Sorry, my Fiji posts pushed everything back.) This is my Stitch Fix from right after I got back from Fiji. I know my last Stitch Fix post was disappointing but I assure you this one was way improved. So let's get started.
ANORAK JACKET
As soon as I saw this the heavens opened up and a light shone in my room. I have wanted an anorak jacket for a couple of years now but I never bit the bullet because of price and could never find the right style. This fits like a glove and has been the perfect Fall jacket for my more casual days. It's so comfy and I love the green. Mine!
GREY JEANS
When I first saw these I was pretty excited. I have been meaning to up my jeans game for a while but haven't pulled the trigger because I believe good jeans are worth a good price. However, the last time I got jeans in a fix I was disappointed with the fit. At first I was happy when I tried them on. Then I wore them a bit and they stretched out. They also keep sending me a straight cut and I just don't think that's flattering on me, I have too much hip action. Although, I begrudingly kept it with hopes that it would work at some point. I think I figured out how to pull it off the other day, so stay tuned!
BLOOD ORANGE BLOUSE
This was another win! It's such a unique color and perfect for Fall. I also LOVE a blouse. I cannot tell you how much I love a blouse. The cut is super flattering as it creates a curvy sillhouette, curvier than what I got going on, and is long enough to create a lean figure. It is hard to tell in this photo (sorry my camera is in the shop) but there is some interesting detail highlighting the edges at the bottom and around the cuffs. They are a thicker part of the fabric that essentially outlines the edges. Super cute! I have worn it a thousand times already.
STRIPED SWEATER
I have to say I actually kind of liked this sweater. I enjoyed the draped back detail and when looking for similar pieces I could not find anything like it. It was a little big around my waist. By big I mean unflattering. It is clearly supposed to be a flowing, draped wonder but a bit too much drape is not flattering on a shape like mine. I need structure. If I were a skinny little thing or petite this would be great on you. You know I am a sucker for a stripe so sending this back made me cry a bit, but what's a girl to do? Gotta save those benjamins.
COLOR BLOCKED SWEATER
Here was another bigger winner, BUT I did not purchase it. I really loved the color blocking as I thought it created a flattering shape. If you don't know by now that black, white and grey are my colors of choice I do not know what to tell you. Whoever my stylists was read my fashion soul for sure with this fix. So much so, that she sent a sweater I basically already have. I have a very similar sweater that I bought from Target about 2 years ago that I wear on repeat. If this was not already in my closet, this likely would have come home with me as well.
So there you have it! My October fix. Overall a serious win as I took home three items. So far Stitch Fix is 2/3. I am expecting another fix at the end of the month so hoping to have another lucky box. I think giving a lot of feedback before this fix was the key to a successful box and I made sure to give more feedback for this time.
What do you think? Would you have kept any of the items? Leave a comment below I would love to hear from you.
Always, linking up with these lovelies!
