Happy Monday! Hope you all had a great weekend! Mine was definitely a great mix of fun times with friends and some seriously needed couch time. Halloween weekend is one of my favs and I hope you got a chance to get out and enjoy it! One time a year we get to play dress up as adults. I always take full advantage of this :)
As pictured above, the weather took a serious turn for the worse on Friday. We got a little snow and I did not expect it to accumulate but it did. We had a plan for the party to be in our garage and when the temperature dropped we got a little nervous. We had one space heater and borrowed another, we figured that combined with all the party go-ers we would probably be ok. It was a little chilly but we made it work.We decorated mostly the night before and I was so excited. Halloween is probably our favorite holiday so we like to go all out. We even got Reese in on the action. I dreamed of what I wanted to dress her up as and I got my wish. We were Gamora, Star Lord and baby Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy. It was surprisingly hard to find a baby Groot costume for an actual baby. Seems kind of weird, right? I did manage to find one and she was so cute. We had a bunch of games and I hope everyone had a good time. We stayed up a bit too late, as I lost track of time...whoops.
On Saturday we woke up early, cause baby, and I won't lie it was a little rough.
We had to run out quick to help our friend with something and as long as we were out I wanted to swing by one of my favs , Proper + Prim, to pick up a couple of things. I seriously love this shop, they get all my money.
I really appreciated the validating sign in the dressing room.
Afterwards, D and I went home, ordered chinese and started Stranger Things season 2. I was so excited. I loved the first season and was desperate for the new one. We did not stay up too late because we were exhausted but we got through about half the season.
Also, our little lady turned eight months old on Saturday!
Sunday we woke up pretty early. Our friends invited us over to watch the Minnesota Vikings game. They were playing against the Browns in London so the game was 8:30 AM our time. They were making breakfast and whenever this couple says they are cooking I say "what time?" We went over in our sweats and watched the game with our kids in tow and ate a delicious breakfast. Thankfully, we won the game. We weren't looking too good at first and we were a bit nervous but they pulled it out. We left a little after the game to veg for the rest of the day. We finished Stranger Things, watched a movie and The Walking Dead. #sundaygoals
Oh and here is your daily dose of Reese
Seeing that tomorrow is Halloween I thought I would share a little outfit inspo. Two Fridays ago I posted a few great tees. I thought I would show how I plan to style my look for the actual holiday tomorrow. I super love this tee from Ily Couture. Their holiday tees are my favorite and I finally bit the bullet on this one. I paired it with my absolute favorie black distressed denim from Express. I generally have mixed feelings about their jeans, but these fit like a dream and have some great stretch. I like the contrast of the distressed jeans with this oxford/athleisure shoe. Some delicate jewelry and this simple black hat is just enough detail to dress it up without taking away from the shirt. What do you think? How do you plan to celebrate the holiday!
