Hallelujah, it's Friday! Am I right? This week has been crazy and it shows no signs of slowing down. Between work, other events and my little lady it's go, go ,go around here so let's get to it shall we?
1. WORK
Ok so I hate to say this again, but seriously this week was nuts. Something seems to be different this year at work and I just can't get on top of this. I need to find a new system I think to get on top of this or wait it out because some of it will pass. Any ideas on how to recalibrate at work? I am open to anything, ha! So far I have been trying to reconcile that at some point I just have to go home and call it quits for the day. I have to learn when to walk away from the work. I am getting better, and I will stop complaining about this soon.
2. HAIR DAY
I got my hair did this week and we tried a new thing. Last time around I was using this blue shampoo to keep the brassiness out of my hair and it would leave a bit of a residue that looked blue/silver and I got lots of compliments. We tried a lavender toner but it did not really work. This time my stylist, who is my fabulous aunt, tried a new technique called smudging and basically hand smushed around this titanium color. I super love it! It's definitely different but still subtle enough to not be a super crazy color. I think I would be willing to go a little more silver, but am loving this for now!
3. COLLECTIVE MARKET MINNEAPOLIS
This week I also got to participate in this super cool closet swap/pop up shop called Collective Market Minneapolis . Myself, other local bloggers and local folks are selling are gently used clothes. It is at this cute little warehouse space in Northeast Minneapolis and there are some real goodies there! If you are in the area check it out. It runs through Saturday!
4. WEEKEND PLANS
This weekend we are headed up to the cabin. I am pretty much radio silent because there is limited signal up there but I will try to post so follow along. This will be the last time I am up there until next summer. Fall is my favorite time up there. The colors are gorgeous and I love four wheeling. We are bringing the lady with us so not sure how that will work but hoping I get to get out in the woods a little bit. Will report back on Monday!
5. TRAVEL CHIC AND EASY
Last Friday when I went to that rummage sale I discovered this new brand Urban Undercover. I had not really heard of it but my friend had. They sell travel friend products that are also super chic. I bought this little travel pouch because honestly, it had this hilarious saying on it. Then the salesperson showed me the underwear. They are so cool you guys! They are super travel-friendly as you roll them up and one side says 'Let's go" and when you are done you roll them up and they say "Nope." I should have bought more pairs honestly. They are pricey but they are super comfortable and I love that they roll up for cleanliness and orderliness. Also when they are unfolded there is a little pocket in the back so if you are at the gym you could hide a key or at a hotel you could as well. Just super convenient. They also have this tote bag I am coveting where the strap is made of a seatbelt! Incredibly sturdy and perfect for a carry on bag. Check them out!
