Happy Birthday to me! Today is my actual birthday even though I celebrated with friends over the weekend. I am probably well past the age of dragging my friends out specifically to celebrate with me, but thankfully I have tolerant friends.

For my birthday I wanted to share two things with you. First, this jumpsuit I wore out on Saturday. It was a bit of a happy accident. One of my favorite boutiques, Proper + Prim, had this up weeks ago. By the time I saw it, I put my name on the waitlist and when I didn't hear back I assumed it was gone. But then! They messaged me when one got returned and I snagged it. I love a jumpsuit so much and try to wear them at every opportunity. This one really fit like a glove. The sheer top and glittery details were perfect to celebrate my birthday. I really liked where the top hit, it was that perfect flattering shape. The bottom part hit more like a high waisted pant, which I just think is the most flattering cut on most people. I glammed up my hair and accessories a bit too. I have been seeing over the last year the big, decorative bobby pins coming back in style. I saw these at Ulta and thought they would be perfect. I am not quite the hair guru so I essentially slicked by part of my hair and put them in evenly spaced. Then I wore my ear crawlers and this ear cuff that I never get to wear. I was super extra ;)

I also wanted to share with you a little birthday wishlist. High on my priority list are a black pair of OTK boots. I have a pair now but they are faux leather and have a gold heel. They are just a bit too flashy to wear with a dress for work. I would love a black pair I can wear with jeans or a casual work dress. These Steve Madden ones I have had my eye on for a long time. Also, it has taken me a long time to get on board with leopard print but I am ready to dive in. I like how this BB Dakota snow leopard print is a little different from what else is out there now. I also like that it is a little more cropped, so I think it helps me ease into this trend better. Lastly, this one may be the weirdest, but this Sole Society satchel bag. My last good weekender bag broke some time ago so now every time I even go somewhere overnight I have to use a small suitcase and it just looks ridiculous. What I love most about this one is the bottom is a compartment for shoes! Hallelujah! They just take up so much space it's nice to have a separate space for them.
