Happy Friday all! Today I am off on my way to Chicago with my family to see Hamilton and I am beyond excited. We wanted to see this forever and getting tickets when they were here in Minneapolis but it was ridiculous. The extra win here is we have family in Chicagoland so we get to see them too! But before I take off I wanted to share with you this amazing sweater that I got for Christmas, just in time for the chilly weekend ahead.
I am really into chunky and boxy sweaters this season. I don't know what it is but I just love the look of them. You can wear them a host of different ways. They go with jeans, pants leggings and skirts if you can find the right one. Personally, I love them with my absolute favorite jeans from Gap. These are technically a straight leg but a girlfriend jean would work too. I think a boyfriend jean would be too baggy. I also particularly like them with a high waist, If you tuck the sweater in it helps create that hourglass shape because the shirt becomes more blousey and with a wider pant, it makes your midsection look narrower. I don't even have an hourglass shape, I always joke that I am a wide 2x4 , but putting this look together it creates the illusion that I do. I also really love the ribbing on this sweater. Wider stripes and sectioned off to be going in different directions, keep the sweater interesting to look at even though the shape is simplistic. I love small details like that, and the mock neck just adds to the cozy factor.
