And just like that, it's Monday again. Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I actually had a fairly relaxed weekend, which was awesome. I did do a couple of things but the rest was super chill so it was a nice balance. I am never quite ready for a Monday to start, always wishing for one more day This week I am only working four days because I am headed to Chicago on Friday to see Hamilton! I am so excited.

This weekend I only did a couple of things. Friday we met up with some friends for dinner. A local restaurant, Red Cow, will give you a free burger on your birthday if you sign up for their program. It's 100% worth it, it's my favorite burger in the Twin Cities. It was fun with our friends and Reese was there and was the most well behaved she has been out in months. Granted we let her watch a movie, but it was a Friday. Saturday I went to a concert with my dad that we tried to go to every year. It's hard to explain but it's called ' The Last Waltz' they recreate this show of a band called The Band, who decided to retire and wanted to do one last show. It's basically the who's who of 60s and 70s music. It's a fun show, we were out pretty late though so Sunday was lay around day and get ready for Monday.

On relaxing weekends you'll often find me in a mix of leggings and sweatshirts. If I leave the house though I try to make it a habit to put on real pants. Don't get me wrong, I love leggings, but they aren't pants. Maybe I am old fashioned but I prefer to put on pants when I leave the house. This look is 100% comfortable for a weekend but also edgy, nerdy and on trend. It has all the right pieces. A comfy tee, this Batman one is a boyfriend fit. I actually saw this out in the social media world and earmarked it until it went on sale. I love me some Batman. He and Catwoman have always been my favorite superheroes. I love the vintage logo on this one too, different from the Bat-signal logo you usually see, which is cool too but a little loud. I like this fit because you can tuck it in or knot it to create a flattering shape. I paired it with my favorite black jeans. Madewell makes my favorite jeans right now. The jeans are expensive, but they are worth it! They fit like a dream and I am high waisted or bust right now. They are worth the investment. The other major trend now are the chunky cardigan. Unfortunately, this one has sold out but I liked some similar shawl cardigan. I like the marled pattern and the length. The length is good because you could wear it over a dress too and covers your backside. The shawl silhouette I like because my office is freezing and it operates like a cardigan. This basically goes with everything. I edged this out with my favorite moto booties, but you could also wear some cool sneakers or black mules.
