Happy Wednesday folks! We are half way through this week and as I am trying to be a glass half full person , then it is half way done :) Lately I have been trying to cut back on my clothing budget, which is crazy hard, so I am showcasing some pre-existing items in my closet. I almost always buy items knowing exactly how I plan to use them. I rarely buy pieces with no idea how to use them. This is great for building a wardrobe, but I also get stuck in a rut of wearing items the same way over and over. As I have been perusing some of my favorite shops I keep seeing that it is festival season. I have grand dreams of one day going to a Coachella, Bonnaroo or SXSW. Not this year but hopefully soon. I am not typically a festival dressing kind of girl. It is not my typical style, but sometimes I like to try on new looks like I am wearing a costume. I could pretend to be a festival girl. I am trying to channel the young starlets that you see there all the time. The Kendal and Kylie Jenners and Gigis of the world.
I sifted through my closest and immediately remembered this skirt, originally posted here. I also thought about mixing it with a crop top. I have a couple but they are more plain and fancy. Then I remember this somewhat crop, flouncy top I got from American Eagle and originally posted here. I don't think it would be complete with out a big floppy hat originally posted here. Without buying a single new item I think I pulled together the best festival look from my closet. I know I would feel comfortable all day listening to great music. I think the only other thing I could have done was add a kimono, which come to think of it I do own one. Hmm maybe for another day.

If you do not have any items in your closet that are festival ready you are in luck. I rounded up some of my favorite pieces I can find. Items like crop tops, boho patterns, jeans shorts and hippie accessories are your friends. You can always rely on H&M Loves Coachella collection or basically anything from Free People. There are so many great pieces. I could live at Free People these days.
