Happy Wednesday party people. Today I am excited to share with you this new product. Last month I went to a wedding in Portland. I had to have D help zip me up in my dress. It is such a pain sometimes to do this. Especially when I am trying on dresses, I can never get the full effect because I cannot zip it up all the way by myself. Am I the only one with this problem?

I was approached by the company I-Zip shortly after this and it was kismet. I was excited to give it a try and to have the freedom to dress myself, a skill I thought I had mastered years ago.  The cord is braided and thick so you can tell it likely will not break off and ruin the whole plan. The plastic piece is meant to attach to the hole on the zipper and is supported by a stainless steel clip for extra sturdiness. I was really excited to try it. It also comes in this adorable, velvet travel bag so you can take it on trips. Cute right?

I wanted to try it with the dress I wore to the wedding, but alas that zipper did not have a hole for the clip to latch on to. I grabbed this dress and another one to try.  This worked perfectly for this loose fitting dress. I attached the plastic piece ahead of time and put the dress on. It is not strong enough to pull by itself so I did have to pinch the bottom of my dress for leverage. It pull up beautifully and easily. Loved it! It was really easy to detach the clip as well so no need for help in that department either.

I did try it with another dress (not pictured) and had some more struggles. The other dress was tighter fitting and the grip of the plastic end was not strong enough. I  pulled and it let go. Unfortunately what it seems to mean is that if you have a dress that needs a bit more "umph" to zip up, you still need the assist. If it is looser fitting this will work wonders for you. I am definitely glad to have it in my closet. Now if only we had a contraption to button the tops of shirts.....that would be great!

What do you think? Would you use this product? Leave me a comment below I would love to hear from you!
