Happy Monday! This Monday I am legitimately happy. It is officially summer for me and, hopefully, that means and easier workload. My job changes a bit in the summer and provides more flexibility, which I am so looking forward to. I need a bit of a break. Also, part of me has never gotten over having to work in the summer and my office has no windows. I am looking forwards to bringing my laptop to my friendly, neighborhood Starbucks. I am also hoping to finally spend more time on the blog. So look forward to more interaction from me :)

In the mean time let's get to the round up, shall? I had a really busy weekend but unfortunately I did not take a lot of pictures. I am trying to get better about not being on my phone constantly. Friday I went over to my friend's house. She needed to do some self-care (i.e. at home spa) so I sat with her while she painted her nails. We ate pizza, drank wine and laughed all night. Perfect Friday as I do not have the energy to go out but needed some social time. D was out of town since Wednesday on a fishing trip. I needed to have a conversation with someone that wasn't my dogs.

Saturday was busy. I got up and hit the gym. I am trying to be more dedicated there too, so this was  my third day in a row (woot woot). Afterwards I ran a quick errand than home to shower. I had a bachelorette party in Wisconsin to get to that was going to take about an hour to get to. I was only planning on staying for a bit. With D being out of town I had to get home to the dogs. I also made plans have dinner with my parents. I stayed at the party for about 2 1/2 hours. It was a bit awkward because besides the bachelorette I did not know anyone. To be fair everyone was super nice, but I didn't know them. I left and met my parents at Betty Danger's for dinner before heading to  Donny Dirk's. My mom had never been there so I had to introduce her to it. We stayed until close and she got to experience the light show. They always play an opera song through it and mom told us that for her birthday she'd gladly accept Andrea Bocelli. Dad and I laughed and laughed. I love my parents.

Sunday was kind of a goofy day. I awoke to the fourth morning in a row with the dogs in my bed. When D is out of town Riggs thinks he owns the joint. They are cute though so it's hard to kick them out. I started the day with a little light shopping before I got a call from my parents. I headed up there to fix something on their computer and visit my adorable niece. My parents bought her a kiddie pool and she enjoys walking around while throwing her toys in and out said pool. She's ridiculous. D finally got home a bit later on Sunday and we watched some TV before going to bed.

After going to the bachelorette party I was reminded that it is wedding season. Before that is the every popular stag parties (Does anyone say that? How old am I?) I bought this romper a few weeks ago from Apricot Lane. It is perfect for a summer bachelorette party. It's light and fun, with a flirty pattern and silhouette. You know I love a romper. What is always great about these is limited need for accessories. This one I paired with these block heels, but you could easily put on a stiletto to dress it up. I kept it simple with the jewels and my go-to fringe crossbody. I will be wearing this every chance I get.
