Happy President's Day!  Hope you all had a great weekend and had as amazing of weather as we did this weekend. Seriously the weather this weekend was amazing. It was near 60 degrees outside all weekend. Those temperatures in February in Minnesota are unheard of so we definitely took advantage of it. I did a few fun things this weekend as well as sharing one of my new favorite sweaters so read on!

Friday was an easy day. There was no school so I got to work from home, which is my favorite thing. I did a little work in the morning and took my lunch break at the gym as well as running a couple of errands including this NARS lipstick in Lana. I fell in love with this orange red. I could not help myself. Then I headed home and finished my work for the day. That night we went over to a friend's house to hang out. We had fun but two of us are super pregnant so the night ended a little early. Although any time with our friends is good as baby nears and we want to spend time with them.

Saturday was a slower day. D and I went to the gym in the morning and then back home quick. My mom and sisters came over because we had some planning to do for my dad's upcoming birthday party and my sister's bridal shower. My other sister had her little girl with too, which was good so our pups can get used to have a kid around the house. D cleaned out our car and took care of a few things around the house. That night we stayed in. We were a little hopeful maybe labor would start so we didn't make any plans. We were wrong. However, the pups got some good cuddles in as evidenced by this picture of Riggs.

Sunday we got serious. The weather was gorgeous, another mid 50 degree day, and I was officially 40 weeks pregnant. D-Day. Time to make this happen. Started the day with a little breakfast in bed before venturing out. We drove down to Minneapolis to walk around Lake Calhoun. This lake is about 3 miles around so we figured it would be a good walk. I am proud to say I made it all the way around with only stopping once.  After we hit up Betty Danger's Country Club for two reasons: 1) they serve spicy foods 2) they had a patio that was open on this beautiful day. We shared a couple of appetizers before heading home. Alas, no child would be born this day.

As I am still pregnant, I am trying to get creative to stay comfortable and fashionable. I bought this sweater a couple of weeks ago at local favorite Primp. I am probably pushing it a little bit with this sweater but it is incredibly comfortable and the cut out at the bottom allows for the growing mid section. For me I put on a belly band to cover that area, but for you non-pregnant ladies you would not need this. I love a stripe so it did not take much to sell me on this. I paired it with my favorite maternity skinnies, statement necklace and booties from Target. I like to think this sweater will transition well into spring time with a casual flat sneaker or boat shoe.
