Hey lovelies! Happy hump day. Hope your week is going well, mine is thankfully flying by as I countdown the days to my vacation (4 days!!). The term 'spring' around here is a relative term as it snowed Monday and it is still very cold. We got some sun yesterday but it was fleeting. We definitely took some advantage by going on a walk.

I am definitely pushing my Spring wardrobe and took full advantage this Sunday at this month's Minneapolis Bloggers event. It was hosted at The Lynhall, which is half the reason I went. I took my cousin there a few months ago and loved it. Such a gorgeous space and delicious food. Turns out they have a room that can host events, mostly cooking of course, but it was a great big space for our growing community and overlooked the hall.

The other reason I went was because of the topic and speakers. This event was how to monetize your blog and Taylor Brown of @taymbrown was one of the speakers. I follow her IG religiously and love her style. She also seems super relatable and I was excited to hear from her. Also speaking was Alex Lodner of @alexlodner who is a blogger and works with brands to help connect with influencers. They answered questions and gave advice. All was really informative and they were lovely and inspiring. I love so much about this community is the collaboration and being unafraid to share tips and tricks.

I was hoping to stick around longer but D and Reese were coming to pick me up and she was getting really fussy. I had to dash out before I could chat with more ladies. Until next time!

I did want to rock more of a spring look and always feel I need to up my game to go to these events. I snagged this skirt from Target when we were shopping for Mexico. I love the idea of a denim skirt, but skirts have a nasty habit of riding up. This is a high waisted skirt and fits like a dream. I also liked that it helps create more of a shape for me, which I do not typically have. The tie in the front and button details and just another great touch to separate this from your average skirt. With the high waist, I can work in my crop tops. I love this top I got at local boutique Proper + Prim. The sleeves are really fun and have a cutout detail. It actually has a tie to the side, but I tucked it into the skirt. The shirt/skirt combo I think is a lot of details so I kept the accessories simple and some basic booties. I got a lot of compliments on this skirt already and truly any excuse to wear a crop top I am totally there for.
