Happy Friday! I don't know about y'all but I am so ready for this Friday. I am actually going to a concert tonight but then headed out of town tomorrow for a week for the Fourth of July. Our family in Chicagoland area always have a big party complete with too much food and fireworks. Normally I only go for a couple of days but with my job, it makes the most sense to just take the whole week. I am really excited to get out of town and do some fun things. Especially after a busy week.
I had a really busy week so I won't bore you with the details but basically, it was work, work, work. Let's focus on the fun stuff shall we? Like most fashion girls, I love me some Zara. Sometimes their items are too edgy for me. I can see some really cool girls wearing some of those items, but that doesn't fit me. I do love that I can find really unique pieces there. My favorite ones are the pieces that are on the verge of edgy but I can mold them into my more classic wardrobe. I did get a few different pieces in their current sale and those will be up soon.
I was shopping online for my daughter (they also have the CUTEST baby stuff ever!) and I did a little search for me. I found this top and without question, I knew I needed it. When I bought it I had already known we were going out to dinner for my sister's birthday and I thought this would be perfect. Like I said on Wednesday. I am having a moment with pinks. This mauve color is perfect for a night out. Kind of a muted tone but with this shiny fabric really balances it out. The top is a wrap, so a bit complicated to put (or maybe it's just me?) but ultimately incredibly flattering. The texture also is flattering as well and helps to only highlight the shape. It almost has a Grecian flavor to it. For a night out I kept it really simple. A simple black jean and nude heel. In the summer I like to keep my neckline open. We spend all winter bundled up, in the summer I had to crowd my collar. A lariat necklace is perfect here. Perfect summer night look!
