Happy Friday party people! Friday could not have come soon enough this week. It was a bit of a frustrating week work wise and the weather turned cold around here again. #overit. This is the hard time of year in Minnesota where they days are long and cold, with little end in sight. What I wouldn't give to get out of town at this moment.  In a week like this I try to focus on the highlights to keep my mood and energy up. Let's review the highlights.

1. COLOUR POP LIPPIE STIX
I was introduced to this by my Candice from She's Leaning In, who I go to for all my beauty needs. She definitely got this one right. I wanted a brown matte lipstick desperately. She recommended Lippie Stix and it came in the mail early this week. This color is Taurus and it's gorgeous. I am obsessed with it and basically wear it every day. I love it so much and they are not expensive. I highly recommend it.

2. TARGET GETS ME
On any given week you can find me at my friendly, neighborhood Target at least 2 times. This week was a cool 3 times Part of the problem is I do not make a proper list and forget what I went there for. I also do not make an inventory list before I go and run out of things periodically throughout the week. Also, I love Target and perusing their shelves is a favorite past time. On one of my trips this week I saw this shirt. Mind you this shirt was not where it belonged, which led me to believe I was meant to see it ;) . It is also so true. Made my night.

3. FRINGE ALL OVER
I saw these shoes in the store last weekend and loved them! Was not ready to commit until I knew how to wear them. I posted about them on Wednesday and unfortunately are starting to sell out. I am loving this fringe and tassel trend and cannot get enough. I may commit to these, if not I will absolutely find some similar ones to add to my collection.

4. BR NO MORE
My local Banana Republic closed. Not sure why this is and it breaks my heart. I can get to another one easily but this one was 15 minutes from my house. I have come to LOVE Banana Republic in the last year or so. There style change has really revolutionized their brand for me. Now I have to drive further away, which totally bums me out. My local outdoor shops had several other stores closed so I am a bit freaked out about what will replace them. Hopefully something good.

5. WINTER BRIGHTS
I said before this month is the longest for me. Sorry February but I cannot wait until you are over. I decided to ditch my trademark monochrome look to bring in a little color and improve my mood. I bought this shirt at The Loft a couple of weeks ago (psst it is still on sale) and basically loved it immediately. It is a high-low cut and the back is a chiffon type fabric. The sweater in the front is incredibly soft and comfortable. What is fantastic about it is the fabric is quality that it does not stretch out during the day as some do. I paired it with my favorite skirt of all time. This J. Crew Factory skirt has served me well over the years. It's super flattering and I love the navy color. I did not wear tights because I am boycotting these terrible temperatures. I like the ankle boot to keep the look a bit more casual. You could easily pair this with a great heel to dress it up. Add a great necklace and earrings and BAM. Rejecting Winter ;)
