Happy Friday! I am so ready for this week. I think I say that every week, but I extra mean that this week. We are headed out of town for a fun weekend with friends at my husband's family cabin. We did this last summer but we were down a few folks, so we grabbed a few more and are headed up this afternoon. I took a half day of work, because why the heck not, and we're dropping the miss off at my parents then we're off! That said I have limited wifi access because we are literally almost in Canada (the lake we will be boating on is both in America and Canada) so I will try to post when I can but it will be limited. Also, I just plan to enjoy myself. This is actually my first time up there this summer so I am plain pumped for that too! What are you up to this weekend? Hope you get to enjoy a few days off of work!

Ok, so I wanted to take this whole post to gush about my obsession with Target's brand Universal Thread. When it first launched I was not so sure about it. It was very tee shirt and jeans, which is fine but not my scene all the time. As it has developed, I am telling you it's so great. Easily my favorite brand at Target right now. It definitely still has your go-to tees but there are these great more modern casual pieces, that I am so drawn to. Enter this look.

I have been eyeing these shoes for so long! Mules are definitely the show of the moment. I have a bunch of flats right now so when I saw a little heel I thought it was perfect. The kind of U shape is unique as well, most mules are flat on the upper part of your foot. It creates a really beautiful shape. To boot? This mustard color I am all about right now. I think my closet will probably be full of it this fall, it's going to be my go-to color. I finally caved and bought them. Next is this top. I was just doing my general Target walk around saw this color. Blue has always been my favorite color, particularly navy. My head is in fall mode, but my body is reminding me it is still summer. I love that this top is the perfect mix of that. The navy and accent colors are this shirt are classic fall. But the lightweight fabric and bow shoulder details are perfect for summer still. This top is really the perfect mix. Plus, I can see layering a cardi over this when the temps (eventually) drop. I felt so ladylike with the boys, but still casual enough to wear to work or out to dinner. Funny enough, I did wear this to dinner when we met with some friends on Monday and I felt so cool and chic on their patio.   I finished the look with these jeans I got from the Nordstrom sale and some simple jewelry. It still is summer so I try to keep the accessories simple and light.
