TGIF I am ready for this weekend. It's the second the last weekend of summer and I am looking forward to a weekend where I can take some advantage of our last days of warmth. I don't have any solid plans this weekend but maybe getting on the boat? Or hanging out with friends? What are your plans?

With the new school year on the horizon, it's time to get back into more professional clothing for work. At the same time, it's still pretty warm out so I have to walk that balance between summer temps and fall styles. This is the final piece I bought from the Zara sale a couple of months ago. This Fall I am seeing a lot of these almost 70s colors again. Golds, mustards, burnt oranges and browns. At least for the mustard color, I am here for it! I am not typically a yellow person at all, but something about the richness of this color has me all starry-eyed. I will probably be living in this color all through Fall, so get ready to see a lot of it.

When I saw this tank I knew it would be perfect for both summer and fall. This summer I have worn it occasionally in a more casual sense but I wanted to play around with how to wear this more professionally. The fabric is very fitted but thick. The thicker straps mean I can wear a regular bra (praise!) with this top. It's also fitted enough that you can tuck it into pants to make it look like a body suit. Now, I love the bodysuit trend but my torso is so long I struggle to find one that fits. For me, and any of my taller ladies out there will understand. I also am a big fan of the square neck. I think it frames your collar well and creates a flattering shape for everyone. Cannot go wrong. Obviously, this one is sold out but I linked up some similar items below.

To make it more professional I paired them with these pants from Loft. I think the gold blends well with the darker gray of these pants and the slimming silhouette all the way to the ankle. I recently picked up these shoes from Target (yaaas Target!) that are definitely going to be a closet staple. I love the cutout! Completed it with one of my favorite work bags from Madewell. When it gets cooler you can layer a cardigan or even a blazer. Take this look from Summer all the way to Winter.
