Happy Tuesday! Hope you all had a great weekend. I had a fairly relaxing/albeit a little slow weekend. D was out of town, up at his family cabin doing some work so Reese and I stayed home. The weather was kind of so-so, so we didn't have much to do.

We mostly hung around the house, boring ourselves to tears. If you followed my stories we took a late night trip to Target on Saturday to cure our boredom. Reese like it best of all, she danced basically the whole time. What a wierdo. Sunday my sister and niece came over and I blew up our little inflatable pool. Both Reese and my niece had mixed feelings about it. They wanted to play, then didn't and wanted to play and then didn't. When they were playing it was so cute! Love seeing my niece play with her. Reese loves her cousin!

So that's it. My whole weekend. There are really not photos besides a hundred photos of Reese making weird faces so I won't bore you with those ;)

Instead, I wanted to share with you this dress I got some time ago now in the big Zara sale. With this dress being on sale it's gone now but I linked few similar ones. I think what really struck me about this dress is the neckline. I love the square neck. I think it mimics a square shoulder so well and creates a sleek look. Also, the dress is loose so the neckline so it frames the dress well. I was also struck by the polka dots. They aren't the perfect polka dot evenly spaced. They are somewhat randomly placed which gives a modern twist to what is typically a prep style. I really love twists on old styles and this was perfect. It is also long enough to wear to work paired with a big cardigan or jacket.  For summer, I opted for a denim jacket. It's easy and casual and you can always find a great one. For work I actually wear it, but after you can tie it around your waist and cinch the waist. I wore this to a concert a couple of weeks ago and it was pretty sticky so I tied it around my waist, but I wanted it with me because sometimes nights are cold so it was the perfect combo. I finished the look with my go-to block heel. As the weather cools I could see this paired with an edgier bootie and some more statement jewelry.
